This morning as I was going to a meeting of docents (volunteer educators) at our zoo there was an event going on in the park adjacent to the zoo. It was a walk for suicide prevention. After the event was over, and we were leaving our meeting, this is what we encountered:
Opportunistic predators... just waiting for the vulnerable to cross their path so they can PRAY -- or is it PREY -- upon them. He was "Pastor Born Again... blah blah blah..."
I wonder how many of the people who killed themselves did so because of the guilt and despair that religion drove into them? I wonder how many of the people who walked today fear that their loved is burning in hell because they committed a mortal sin by taking their own life? I wonder how many of the lost, were lost because of abuse by the clergy?
