Jesus interrupts his birthday with the Christian Fight Club

By Yak ~

For all the world to see: a moving, timeless Christmas message by several christian leaders in Bethlehem, the place where Jesus was said to have been born, during the celebration of his birth! Christians doing what they do best: acting like Christians!

In this news video christian leaders (trained priests and monks) at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem go at each other in a melee that rivals some of the best hockey fights that I've seen in recent years.

Each of these guys should receive a medal for going balls-out to put on what can rightly be called, a Christmas "Passion Play," by hurling sticks, brooms, bottles, rocks and just about anything within arms reach --at each other-- all for their jesus-turf.

Hats off to these christian leaders who are doing their dead-level best to demonstrate how christian faith actually works and how to emulate their leader --who had legitimate anger management issues himself.

(Remember that time in the gospels (the christian "Good news" part of their bible) when he went ape shit in the town's business center? How about when he said that his purpose was not to bring peace on earth, but a sword? Or several times where he made mortal threats against anyone who loved their family more than they loved him?) In this video, he's definitely keeping his promise.'Nuf said.

So, naturally, it begs the question: WWJD?

I've got five dollars (CDN) that says he would have definitely joined in. In fact, if he and I were there together, I would have lent him my hockey stick and asked for an autograph.

After all, didn't the bible writers say that he said, "Whenever two or more are gathered in my name there will be a fight"?

He and his posse can really kick-ass, can't they!
